Oluaka Institute a technology Institution in the South-East of Nigeria, Owerri. One of the biggest technological hub and institution in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria.

The Oluaka Institute is a social enterprise established in 2017 to contribute in bridging the gap in practical training, business incubation, and acceleration in the fields of technological innovation and business entrepreneurship in Nigeria, with a view to impacting social and economic problems in the eastern region, where unmet needs are quite significant.

The institution is affiliated with the CLEEN foundation which is a non-governmental organization that promotes public safety, security, and accessible justice through the strategies of empirical research, legislative advocacy, demonstration programs, and publications, in partnership with government, civil society, and the private sector.

Oluaka Institute of Technology is an enterprise with a mission to attract, train, and retain top talents in technological innovation and enterprise development in Nigeria.

Some of their program areas include Oluaka Developers Program, Heartland Incubation Hub, Enterprise Education for MSMEs, and National Innovation Diploma. These programs will be explained below

Oluaka Institute Developers Program

The developer’s training program focuses on producing a skilled coding workforce to support startups springing up and establish small businesses in the region.

The six months program is organized twice a year and effectively combines classroom teaching, participation in executing real-life projects in teams, and internships with businesses in the region and beyond. The program also trains students in secondary schools on coding under its TeenCode project.

It is a 6 months scholarship that will enable cohorts to learn and receive hands-on training on Web an mobile technology. We provide an additional 3 months internship that gives you real work experience where participants master the professional and technical skills needed to become technology-driven entrepreneurs and leaders.

Heartland Incubation Hub

Heartland  Incubation Hub (HIH) is established to solve the problem of the inadequate support structure, mentorship system for incubating, or developing business ideas by young people in south-east Nigeria.

We work with great teams at heartland incubation hub with ideas ready to change the status quo, solving real problems and will be committed to the 6 months Incubation program.

Enterprise Education for MSMEs

Enterprise development and sustainability support the micro, small and medium scale enterprises, including attraction and retention of talents, workforce development, access to finance/ financial management, use of simple technological applications, networking, business registration, interface with regulatory agencies, risk management, the safety of workplaces, performance management, brand marketing, process documentation, succession planning, etc.

National Innovation Diploma

They offer Diploma and Certificate Courses leading to the award of National Innovation Diploma (NID) in Computer software and Hardware Engineering and National Vocational certificate in Computer and GSM repairs. Students will have access to a worldclass facility and renowned tutors in Software and Hardware Engineering during the 2-year program.
