NCC intiate strategic plan for Nigeria digital economy

The Nigerian communication commission(NCC) is ready to reveal a five-year tactical management plan. This will serve as a guide for the implementation of its digital economy agenda. This could help in the development of Nigeria digital economy from how is it today.

An announcement issued by the Director of Public Affairs, Dr Henry Nkemadu on Sunday revealed the commission would support the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy. The commission will also support the National Broadband Plan.

The Director also added that the strategic plan which will be launched on Tuesday. It acts as the operation manual for the commission to actualise the digital economy agenda of the Federal Government of Nigeria in the next five years.

The decision to this aligned with the objective of creating a flawless strategy to increase it’s effective management and the regulation of the telecommunication sector.

He also said that the management plan was developed in-house with the decision of the management and board. It serves as a document of the commission for planning, monitoring, examines and evaluation of the commission goals and objectives in the next five years.
